- What is Fabric Genius?
- Fabric Genius is a user-friendly app designed to help sewists calculate the amount of fabric needed for their sewing projects, specifically when using PDF patterns.
- How does Fabric Genius work?
- Simply look up the PDF pattern by brand, pattern name and size. When you get to the fabric selection screen, click the measurements for the pattern pieces youll be using. Sew Genius will then calculate the required amount of fabric. You can select measurements for up to 3 types of fabric.
- Will you add more pattern brands?
- I hope so! I make sure to get the permission of the pattern company before making their measurements available on Fabric Genius. If you have a particular brand you want added, reach out to us and let us know via email
- Can Fabric Genius handle different fabric widths?
- Fabric Genius uses the exact measurments provided in the pattern. Reference the patterns fabric requirements for the fabric width.
- Is Fabric Genius free to use?
- Yes!
